The cadmium sulfide or CdS semiconductor material is a compound of elements from groups II-VI on the periodic table. This material is used in solar cells and photoresistors.
- Lead Sulfide (PbS)
Lead sulfide or PbS semiconductor material is a group IV-VI element on the periodic table, used in early radio detectors, where a tip contact was designed by using a thin wire in galena to give signals of rectification.
