Stink bombs, also called stink bombs, are pure fun. Imagine activating a completely inoffensive device, without any danger but that gives off an extremely offensive odor. No one could sue you for that. Best of all, you can make one from scratch and with materials you can easily find at home. Remember, it’s not illegal and it doesn’t really harm anyone, but it’s still best if no one finds out. Also remember to be careful when handling the crafting materials for each stink bomb.
Here you have several recipes to obtain a stink bomb:
The super sulfur and ammonia bomb
This stink bomb isn’t as complicated as it sounds, and thanks to the sulfur, it has the distinctive smell of rotten eggs.
You will need a container with a tight lid (it can be 20 oz or 600 ml approximately, they are easier to transport). You will also need a sulfur source and an ammonia source.
We recommend looking for ammonia in the cleaning supply section of the supermarket (any cleaner that is mostly ammonia-based will do, but pure ammonia is best). Be careful not to spill your source of ammonia on your clothing or skin, and of course, never mix it with another cleaner.
For the sulfur it is enough that you use the heads of an entire box of matches. You could also buy it at a drugstore or pharmacy in its powder form, but this route is usually very expensive and less safe; use it only if the place where you will use the stink bomb is very large and ventilated so that the effect is noticeable. Remember not to put your hands in your mouth when handling sulfur or any of these two chemicals.
You should empty the match heads into the airtight container, then fill it with the ammonia to about half full. Make sure that the container closes very well and the air does not escape.
You have to let these chemicals sit for a minimum of four days for them to react together and have a stinky result.
All you have to do now that your chemical reaction is complete is open the container and you’ll have a powerful smell of rotten eggs.
Be careful not to spill the contents of the container.
The smell of this solution is a lot like the stink bombs you can get at joke stores. The difference is that those sold commercially are usually small glass capsules, similar to those for injectable solutions, and contain a specially prepared solution with ammonium sulfide in a small amount and with very precise proportions. This solution reacts with moisture when crushed underfoot or exposed to air when broken and immediately releases a mixture of hydrogen sulfide (hence the rotten egg smell) and ammonia.
The smell bomb of milk and eggs
You can make this bomb with materials easy to find at home. It should be noted that it is the least powerful stink bomb and the one that needs the most time; however, it is also likely that you can do it more frequently than the others.
For this stink bomb you will need a raw egg, a tablespoon of milk, a tablespoon of white vinegar and a disposable container.
Crack the egg into the disposable container first. Then pour the milk on top of the egg. Add a tablespoon of white vinegar and finally cover the disposable container. It is important that the lid works well and does not leak air.
Place the mixture in a sunny spot, preferably where you’re sure no one will notice its presence (perhaps on the edge of a gazebo, at an angle difficult for anyone passing by to see).
The next day you will have a strong and unpleasant smell ready. If you want to get the most stinky potential out of this recipe, simply let it sit for several days before opening.
The famous stink bomb in an egg
Finally we have one of the easiest bombs to make and for which you will only need an egg and a very thin needle.
Use the needle to poke a very, very small hole in the egg. Then you should look for a container that protects the egg but at the same time allows air to enter. You can use a small box, as long as you make some holes in it.
You are supposed to let the egg rot in the container for at least a week. The egg may dry out, so try trying several eggs before that special occasion.
When you think the egg is ready, all you have to do is break it to release its powerful stink. You can cover the hole with duct tape once you want to throw it, so you run less risk of spilling the rotten egg contents on your clothes. The practicality of the rotten egg is that you can easily throw it, plus you can prepare large quantities without much trouble.
You could have a whole carton of eggs ready to stink up a large area with several unsuspecting victims!
